New Season - New projects for Intercult Sweden

Intercult is proud to announce their participation in the Nordic Chapter together with Region Västra Gotaland (SE), Cirkus Syd (SE), Riksteatern (SE), Nordisk Teaterlaboratorium – Odin Teatret (DK), Insitut for (X) (DK) and many more participating cultural operators in Denmark and Sweden.

Culture is the anchor that binds us together. It is the cornerstone of the European project and a driving force for the continent’s future. Culture has enormous inherent value and makes a huge contribution to the economy.

Culture has always been a vital social glue and resource, capable of healing wounds during difficult times.

The severity of the COVID-19 pandemic’s ongoing crisis, as well as the threats that lie ahead, necessitate unprecedented and concerted action.

Culture Action Europe proposes we start addressing these challenges and opportunities following the 4 steps below:

  • Connect cultural operators and policymakers for data-driven, evidence-based cultural policies (i.e., SDG Culture 2030 Agenda)
  • Support locally operating and transnationally innovating micro-organizations and artists
  • Develop a flexible and agile funding infrastructure for cross-sectorial collaborations led by cultural operators and artists
  • Enable easy access to funding for experimentation, artistic research, and innovation

It is important for us, cultural operators in the Nordic region that our values are reflected in the Cultural Deal For Europe.
