SOS Climate Waterfront - Urban Design Workshop in Thessaloniki 14-25 October 2019

SOS Climate Waterfront organises Urban Design Workshop in Thessaloninki between 14-25 Oct at School of Architecture AUTH, Major Development Agency of Thessaloniki.

Focusing on two locations, at the SE and SW extremities of Thessaloniki’s waterfront, the workshop brings together academics, public authorities, stakeholders and students of architecture for two weeks of intense discussion, strategic planning and detailed urban design.

The workshop will focus on developing open-ended solutions that are inspired by local conditions and can be applicable to
the wider problems faced today in the context of European Waterfronts.

The proposals developed by the international interdisciplinary experts and architecture student groups will be included in a public exhibition, which will be opened upon completion of the workshop. Furthermore, these proposals will be eligible for inclusion in the volume/book pertaining to strategies for mitigating climate change inspired by the themes offered by Thessaloniki’s waterfront.

S.O.S Climate Waterfront is funded under H2020-EU.1.3.3
