River//Cities at the European Conferences and Meetings, June 2018

The meeting was organized by European Commission DG Communications.The specific focus of the AGM this year was the European Elections 2019 and the debates on the future of the European Union. The AGM gathered representatives for the 435 new EDIC offices from all the member countries.
The first day on 5 June was be hosted by the European Parliament where the participants were provided an overview about the EE2019 strategy and the planned campaign toolkit. The second day on 6 June took place in the Management Centre Europe (MCE) and was be devoted to Commission priorities, exchange and knowledge-sharing of the network.
Another Board Member: Magdalena Zakrzewska-Duda from the Baltic Sea Cultural Centre in Gdansk participated in the 9th Annual Forum of the EUSBSR held in Tallinn on 4-5 June 2018. The Forum was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia together with the Baltic Development Forum in close cooperation with the European Commission, Ministry of Environment and other partners. About 800 participants from governments, international organisations, NGOs, universities, local and regional administrations, media and businesses came together to discuss developments and challenges in the Baltic Sea Region.The main theme of the 9th Annual Forum was the Baltic Sea Region After 2020. It discussed also the current state of the ecosystem in the Baltic Sea as well as how to advance the Region as a global digital hub.
On 5-6 June Ms Zakrzewska-Duda participated also in Tallinn Creative Meetup -  a global incubator networking event, where among others, challenges facing creative industries were discussed.
